Are you ready to receive Christ? The difference between Christianity and all other religions is that our salvation has been paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of the Father, the 2nd person of the Holy Trinity. He came down to this earth, suffered, was crucified and rose on the 3rd day. Jesus was the last sacrifice and the atonement of sin. Since the first humans sinned in the Garden of Eden, mankind has fallen from God’s perfect creation. As such, man has struggled and suffered because sin has separated him from God. To better understand sin, we must study the Bible to learn. In Romans 6:23 states Paul the Apostle states, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”.

Therefore, the only way to redeem man to God is through blood sacrifice. The blood of the innocent sacrificed for the sinful. Jesus became the last sacrifice because He was sinless and pure. Furthermore, to perform the sacrifice of atonement, Jesus also acted as the High Priest, who presented his body and sacrifice to the Father as the final sacrifice. Now, we have access and have been redeemed to the Father through Jesus! Salvation is only through Jesus and we must surrender to Him to receive everlasting and eternal life. Paul the Apostle in Romans 10:9-10 states 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

So, are you ready to receive Christ? Do you acknowledge that you are a sinner and realize that without Christ, you will perish? Have you thought about what happens when you close your eyes here on earth, at that final moment on earth? There is an afterlife, and Satan is working adamantly to convince you otherwise. For Satan his sole purpose is to blind you to the truth, distract you with the “pleasures” of this world so that you may focus on everything, except for Christ.

Romans 1:18-20 states “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.  For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse”. Essentially, every person understands in their core that there is a Creator, however, mankind has created gods that fit their sinful nature and desires. They acknowledge and receive all false gods except for the one true God.

While there is no specific formula in receiving Christ, the basic principle is professing him openly and expressly while believing in your heart that Jesus is Lord. Here is a model for sinners prayer that you can pray: Lord Jesus I know that I am sinner and I ask you to forgive me of my sins.  I believe that you were crucified for my sins and through your blood I have redemption and salvation.  Please come into my heart and I receive you as my God.  I pray in Jesus name. AMEN
